Cranberry Margarita Mocktail

This simple Cranberry Margarita mocktail recipe is the perfect drink for the holidays—a delicious way to celebrate the season! The combination of tart cranberries, lime, and fresh mint makes it refreshing, while my cranberry simple syrup adds a nice twist.
The black pepper, freshly ground using my Cole and Mason Holborn Mills, brings a little warmth to the drink. It’s easy to make and perfect for sharing at a holiday gathering or enjoying on your own. Garnish with mint and enjoy.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup cranberries (for syrup)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1/2 cup soda water, sparkling water, or ginger ale
- Ice cubes
- Salt (for rimming the glasses)
Instructions:
1. Make the Cranberry Simple Syrup:
- In a small saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, black pepper, and water.
- Simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens. Mash or blend to a smooth purée. Strain and let the syrup cool.
2. Assemble the Mocktail:
- Rim two glasses with lime juice and salt, then set aside.
- In each glass, muddle 2-3 lime wedges with mint leaves.
- Add 2-3 tbsp of the cranberry simple syrup to each glass.
- Pour in the lime juice, then fill the glasses with ice.
- Top with soda water or sparkling water and stir well.
- Garnish with a lime slice, mint, and enjoy! You can also add cranberries if you like.
