Serves 2-3

Prep time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

  • 150g Linguine Pasta
  • 225g Halloumi Cheese, sliced into thin sticks
  • 1 tbsp plain flour
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 White onion, cut into chunks
  • 2 spring onions, separated into scallions and greens
  • 1/2 Red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 Green pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Red chilli, sliced

Spice Mix:

  • 1 tsp Chinese five spice powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes

  1. Cook the Linguine pasta according to packet instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Pat the halloumi sticks with kitchen towel to absorb excess moisture. Dust the halloumi with flour, shaking off the excess. Preheat the air fryer to 180C. Arrange halloumi sticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, spray with oil, and air fry for 7-8 minutes, flipping halfway through. Set aside.
  3. Combine the spices in a bowl and set aside.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a carbon wok over medium heat.
  5. Add onion and garlic, sautéing for 45 seconds.
  6. Add peppers, red chilli, and spices, continuing to sauté for another 45 seconds.
  7. Next add the air-fried halloumi sticks, cooked linguine pasta, and spring onion greens. Toss together to combine.
  8. Taste and season with more salt and pepper as needed.
  9. Serve the Salt and Pepper Halloumi Pasta, garnishing with additional toppings like chilli flakes and spring greens if desired. Enjoy!
