Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Serves:

Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, separated into florets (about 500g)

For the Batter:

  • ¾ cup plain flour
  • ¼ cup corn flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon mild paprika powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin powder
  • ¾ teaspoon paprika powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ¾ - 1 cup water (add more if needed)

For the Buffalo Wings Glaze:

  • 1 cup hot sauce (I use Frank’s Buffalo Wings Sauce, but you can use any hot sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  1. Instructions:
Wash the cauliflower and cut it into bite-sized florets (approximately 3 cups). In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the plain flour, corn flour, garlic powder, paprika powder, cumin powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Gradually add water until the batter is smooth and thick.
  2. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, shaking off any excess, and place them on parchment paper.
  3. Place the coated cauliflower florets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  4. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through for even cooking.
  5. Mix buffalo hot sauce, olive oil, and maple syrup to make buffalo wings glaze.
  6. Once they're golden and crisp, brush the florets with the buffalo glaze.
  7. Reduce the temperature to 350°F (180°C) and air fry for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until crispy and caramelised. Enjoy these buffalo cauliflower wings fresh and serve them with your favourite dip!
